Hi, my name is Alex Brito.

I’m 32 years old and was born and raised in Cambridge, Massachusetts. My mother immigrated to America when she was 13, and her journey has had a profound influence on my life. I’m a Software Engineer and a graduate of Wentworth Institute of Technology, where I majored in Computer Science. I’m also a Blue Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and am excited to be running the 2025 Boston Marathon for the first time.

After seven years of hard work and determination to earn my Computer Science degree, followed by two years of professional experience, I encountered a setback with my recent layoff. However, much like the military veterans I admire, who embody mental strength and the ability to push through moments of extreme pressure, I believe I have the same qualities that will help me navigate this difficult time. I am a person who is focused, persistent, and has a work ethic that will guide me to take on new opportunities, just as military veterans apply their skills to face adversity in their careers. My ability to adapt, learn, and remain determined will undoubtedly lead to success in my next chapter.
